Design Thinking and Strategy

Over the course of my career I have gained passion and expertise in human centered design processes. At Tonal, I led initiatives to push the edge of future strategies by solidifying the processes that design new products, services, and ventures that customers love, and that drive profitability. In this role I sought to infuse human-centered design into company wide culture, enabling true customer-centricity.

What is Design Thinking?

In partnership with business and technology, Design Thinking is a human-centered design approach all about cultivating deep empathy with the people you’re designing for; generating ideas; building prototypes; sharing what you’ve made together; and eventually, putting innovative new solutions out in the world.

As a Design Thinking catalyst my role includes being a partner of innovation for product teams and introducing and infusing human-centered design into the corporate culture

Contributions

  • Leading cross functional teams in designing, organizing and implementing company wide Design Thinking initiatives

  • Designing and organizing an offering of human-centered design workshops for cross functional partners to learn, practice, and apply key methods and tools

  • Presenting and collaborating with Executive Leadership to redefine how the organization thinks and solves problems

  • Facilitating future forward strategic product development

  • Leading discovery focused brainstorms, workshops and projects for both design and cross functional creative teams
