Gearing up a fast growing brand
A media brand selling competitive, addicting fitness for the home, Peloton was mass producing a prototype. It was up to our team to elevate the product to the level of the brand while also making it more cost efficient to manufacture.
Competitive design asks: as members seek a more elite experience, how do we level up a cutting-edge product?
Design
Breaking down the flagship bike we found several band-aides, such as the multiple layers of steel, a result of fast paced development in China. It was clear that the new concept would need to elevate the design intent while making the bike more easily manufacturable.
Initial ideation focused on several aspects of the design including overall gesture, body and UX details.
Presented and pitched to key stakeholders
Storytelling and ideation driving brand development through sketching, rapid prototyping, CAD and photoreal visualization
Refined visualization to cohere the brand language
Improved design efficiency exploring future design details for cost-down production and brand strengthening aesthetics
